We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App is fully usable offline and anonymously — no account is required. We only collect information when you choose to use optional cloud features such as backup, multi-device sync, or team sharing. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

• Local shift and event data you enter into the App (stored on your device; only synced to the cloud if you sign in)
• Account information (email address and display name) when you create an optional account
• Profile photo you choose to upload for your account avatar
• Push notification tokens for delivering shift alarms and team swap notifications
• Anonymous device usage information via Firebase (crash diagnostics and performance data)

3. Notification Access

The App requests permission to send you local notifications. These are used exclusively to:

• Deliver automatic pre-shift alarms based on the alarm rules you configure for each shift code
• Send reminders for personal events you add to your calendar
• Notify you of team shift-swap requests and acceptances (when using team features)
• You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device Settings, though doing so will disable shift alarms.

4. Photo Library Access

The App requests access to your photo library solely to allow you to pick a profile avatar photo. The selected image is uploaded to Firebase Storage and associated with your account. The App does not scan, read, or access any other photos on your device.

You can revoke photo library access at any time in your device Settings. This only affects your ability to change your profile avatar.

5. Firebase Cloud Services

When you sign in (optionally), your shift schedule, profile information, and team data are stored in Firebase Firestore and Firebase Storage, operated by Google LLC. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage diagnostics as part of its normal operation. This data is used solely to deliver the App's cloud features and is not used for advertising.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

• Operate and maintain the App and its features, including shift alarms and team calendars
• Sync your shift schedule across your devices when you are signed in
• Display your profile photo and name in team views
• Provide customer support and respond to user inquiries
• Diagnose crashes and improve App performance

7. Third-Party Services We Use

We may share limited data with trusted service providers:

• Firebase Firestore (Google LLC) — Stores shift schedules, events, team data, and user profiles for cloud-enabled accounts.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect collected information, including encryption in transit where applicable and limited access to data on a need-to-know basis. Shift schedule data is treated as sensitive employment information; cloud data is stored in Firebase with access restricted to your authenticated account.

9. Your Rights and Data Control

You have the right to:

• Use the App entirely offline and anonymously without providing any personal information
• Request access to information associated with your account (where applicable)
• Request deletion of your account and associated cloud data by contacting us
• Revoke notification permission via your device Settings to disable push notifications and shift alarms
• Revoke photo library access via your device Settings to prevent avatar photo selection
• Export your shift data as an ICS file from within the App at any time

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App. Cloud data (shift schedules, profile information, team data) is retained as long as your account is active. For deletion requests, please contact us at hello@gobeklabs.com and we will delete your account and associated data.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it.

12. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where Firebase servers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice within the App.
