Privacy Policy for Menstrual Calendar
Effective Date: June 10, 2026
Menstrual Calendar is a local-only period and cycle tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Overview
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Menstrual Calendar is designed to store all of your health data exclusively on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal or health information to any third party.
2. Information We Collect
Menstrual Calendar stores the following data locally on your device only. None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party:
- Period records — logged period start and end dates.
- Daily health logs — flow intensity, mood, symptoms, sexual activity tags, and free-text notes.
- App settings — cycle length, period length, and notification preferences.
- Notification scheduling data — used to trigger local reminders; never sent off-device.
3. Notifications
The App uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming periods and optional contraceptive pill reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device and are never routed through our servers. You may grant or revoke notification permission at any time through your device settings.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information stored to:
- Operate and maintain the App and its features.
- Calculate period predictions, ovulation estimates, and fertile windows entirely on your device.
- Schedule local notifications based on your preferences.
- Provide customer support and respond to user inquiries.
5. Third-Party Services
Menstrual Calendar does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No health or usage data is shared with external parties.
The App may prompt you to rate it using the operating system's native review dialog (App Store or Google Play). This interaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google and is subject to their respective privacy policies. No additional data is collected by us during this process.
6. Data Security
Because all data is stored on your device, security depends primarily on your device's own protection features such as screen lock and device encryption. We do not store copies of your data on external servers, which minimizes exposure to third-party data breaches.
7. Your Rights and Data Control
You have the right to:
- Access and edit all health data directly within the App at any time.
- Delete all App data permanently by uninstalling the App from your device.
- Revoke notification permission at any time via your device settings.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
All data is stored on your device for as long as the App is installed. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all stored period records, logs, and settings. There is no cloud backup, so deletion is immediate and irreversible. For any further questions about data deletion, please contact us.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Because all health data is stored on your device and no personal data is transmitted to our servers, international data transfer concerns do not apply to your health data. If you contact us directly by email, your communication may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate protections in place.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice within the App.
