Clock is a mobile clock application offering an analog and digital clock, world clock, alarms, stopwatch, and countdown timer. This Privacy Policy explains how Gobek Labs Co., Ltd. handles information in connection with your use of the App.

1. Overview

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Clock is designed to work entirely on your device — your alarm schedules, world clock cities, and timer settings are stored locally and never transmitted to our servers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • App preferences and settings (alarm schedules, world clock city selections, timer state) — stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and never uploaded to external servers.
  • Notification permission status — used solely to determine whether the App can deliver alarm and timer alerts on your device.

3. Notifications

Clock requests permission to send local notifications in order to fire alarms and countdown timer alerts. All notifications are scheduled entirely on-device — no notification payload is routed through our servers. You may revoke notification permission at any time in your device Settings, though doing so will prevent alarms and timers from alerting you.

4. Audio Playback

On Android, the App declares audio-related permissions (RECORD_AUDIO, MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS) required by the underlying audio session framework to manage audio focus and ensure alarm sounds play correctly even when other audio is active. The App does not record, capture, or transmit any audio from your microphone.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Operate and maintain the App and its features, including scheduling alarms and timers.
  • Restore your alarm configurations, city selections, and timer state when you reopen the App.
  • Provide customer support and respond to user inquiries.

6. Third-Party Services We Use

Clock does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs. Your data remains entirely on your device. The App uses the following system-level platform services:

  • Apple Push Notification service (APNs) / Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — only to register a device token required for local notification delivery infrastructure on iOS and Android respectively. No personal data is transmitted through these channels by our App.
  • expo-store-review — used to prompt eligible users to rate the App in the App Store or Google Play. No user data is collected or transmitted during this process.

7. Data Security

All app data (alarms, city preferences, timer state) is stored locally on your device using the platform's standard secure storage mechanisms. Because no personal data is transmitted to our servers, there is no server-side data at risk. We recommend keeping your device OS up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

8. Your Rights and Data Control

You have the right to:

  • Delete all App data by uninstalling the App from your device, which removes all locally stored preferences and alarm configurations.
  • Revoke notification permission at any time via your device Settings to stop alarm and timer alerts.
  • Contact us to ask questions or raise concerns about data handling.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App. We retain no server-side records associated with your use of the App. For any questions about data, please contact us.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

11. International Data Transfers

Because Clock stores all data locally on your device and transmits no personal data to our servers, there are no international data transfers of personal information initiated by us. Platform-level services (APNs, FCM) are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice within the App.
